Role Description:

This is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit is being transformed from a system of static, scheduled fixed-routes, to a dynamic on-demand multi-modal network, and you’ll be one of the pioneers shaping this transformation. 

As a Product Manager, you will use your unique blend of business and technical skills to drive the product planning activities through the product life cycle. You will be responsible for the success of the product, from the overall product roadmap to specific product requirements through to delivery to the market and end of life. You will be involved through all stages of the product line’s lifecycle and work closely with customers, product, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with leadership and strategy teams to translate the organizational strategy, business/market requirements, and product backlog into a product roadmap 
  • Drive data-driven market analysis, product strategy and definition, business case, competitive analysis, partner interaction, and customer management associated with the product 
  • Effectively translate the product vision and roadmap into product requirements and feature specifications, including functional needs, supported use cases/workflows, wireframes, and user interface designs
  • Travel to meet with clients and partners to experience and observe current, future, and competitive deployments to gain a direct understanding of product needs
  • Work alongside Scrum Masters in a Product Owner capacity to plan out sprints and resource allocations in an agile development environment
  • Develop and regularly maintain a data-driven product backlog to deliver on the product vision and roadmap. Regularly collect market input (customers, sales, service, competitive intelligence, etc.) and update the backlog accordingly
  • Develop an ongoing understanding of the market with a curiosity to seek new and better technologies, drive innovation and advocate for product direction
  • Communicate feature delivery milestones to the sales and marketing, and client success teams to ensure an understanding of new capabilities and their market positioning
  • Support the creation of customer-facing documentation, tutorials, and demos need as part of our product marketing on each release
  • Develop case studies and client success stories and collaborate with the marketing team to promote / distribute high value content
  • Provide product demonstrations to key client stakeholders, together with the revenue team and solutions engineering

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or any technology-related field is preferred 
  • 3+ years of experience working in product management or a related role in a SaaS environment, preferably a B2B industry 
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch 
  • Prior consumer-facing / B2B product experience with a heavy focus on user experience design and wireframing is highly preferred
  • Experience working with cross functional teams (e.g., engineering, marketing, customers, sales, etc.) in an agile environment 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple projects, align on goals, and deliverables
  • Willing to travel at least 10% of working time, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in a rapidly growing and fast paced startup environment
  • Experience with project management and product planning tools like JIRA and Roadmunk
